The Communiversity of South Africa is proud to announce the official launch of our Masiphumelele Campus, marking an exciting new chapter in our mission to expand access to meaningful pre-college education and career readiness opportunities for young people.
This launch represents a powerful collaboration rooted in shared values and a deep commitment to youth development in the Masiphumelele community. The campus opens its doors to motivated and committed young people who are ready to invest in education for their futures and play an active role in shaping their communities.
Our inaugural cohort includes a dynamic mix of 2025 Masi High matriculants and MasiSports+ interns. In 2026, the Masiphumelele campus will host three intakes of up to 15 students each, with every intake completing The Communiversity’s intensive 14-week college preparation program. The program is designed to equip students with the academic, digital, self-development and professional skills needed to thrive in higher education and the world of work.
“MasiSports+ is committed to helping the young people of Masiphumelele. This launch represents more than just the start of a program – it is the beginning of a journey built on opportunity, inclusion, and hope. We are thrilled to have the Communiversity of South Africa partner with us,”
— Marvin Williams, General Manager, MasiSports+
Since its inception, the Communiversity of South Africa has grown organically into a highly impactful program that prepares young people to become confident and outstanding college students, capable employees, innovative entrepreneurs, and future community and national leaders.
One of our graduates, Mthunzi Njini, a former Masi High pupil and member of the 2025 Communiversity cohort, shared:
“The program helped me with my college applications and to understand the courses that colleges offer. I also learned how to use computers and programs like Microsoft Excel and Word. Today, I am studying at False Bay College, Fish Hoek Campus, because of Communiversity of South Africa. Thank you—I am truly grateful for what you did for me.”
We are excited about what lies ahead and deeply appreciative of our partners, supporters, and the Masiphumelele community for walking this journey with us. Together, we are journeying on pathways to opportunity and individual success.
