We are incredibly proud to celebrate seven young people from Masiphumelele who have successfully graduated from the Communiversity of South Africa program. This marks a powerful step forward in their personal journeys toward opportunity, confidence, and a brighter future.
These graduates will now be assisted by Communiversity of South Africa with applications for college and bursaries for 2027. The program boasts a success rate of over 90% for students who graduate from the program and gain access to college. We are confident that these young people will start their further tertiary education journey next year.
A special mention goes to Siphumelele Vakele, who achieved the remarkable distinction of being the second-best student overall across all campuses. This is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the dedication, resilience, and potential that exists within our community.
Siphumelele says :” The year prior to 2026 had me stuck and confused about my future as I had no idea of the direction of my future. By great luck MasiSports+ introduced me to this program. To someone who would like to join, all I would say is “Jump right in, it’s a journey worth taking.” It puts you out of your comfort zone which is the best place to excel and improve in all aspects and now that I think of it, that is what changed & helped me the most.”
For these graduates, this experience has opened doors – equipping them with practical skills, broadening their horizons, and strengthening their belief in what is possible. For young people in Masiphumelele, it sends an important message: access to education and opportunity can be a pathway to employment, independence, and a more fulfilled life.

We are equally excited to welcome the second intake of nine students, who began their journey on 4 May 2026. We wish them courage, focus, and success as they take on this opportunity.
