Masiphumelele Students Shine at Graduation Ceremony

On 14 August 2026, family members, facilitators, partners, and fellow students gathered to celebrate the graduation of Intake 2 of the Communiversity of South Africa Programme. It was a proud occasion that recognised not only academic achievement, but also the dedication, perseverance, and personal growth demonstrated by students throughout their learning journey.

The MP cohort delivered an outstanding result, producing learners who excelled in attendance, attitude, academic progress, and subject achievement. Their success is a testament to what can be achieved when commitment is matched with opportunity and support.

A special congratulations goes to Zimkhita Mafalala, who emerged as one of the standout students of the intake. Zimkhita received the Maximum Progress in Attendance, Conduct and Attitude Award and was also recognised as the Most Improved Student in Mathematical Literacy, Engineering Science, and Computer Literacy. These achievements reflect remarkable growth, determination, and a willingness to embrace every opportunity to learn and improve.

“CU helped me to think about my future and set goals. Through workshops and guidance I learned how to plan and choose a program that fits my interests. The CU gave me direction and hope for what I can achieve,” says Zimkhita.

The MP group also celebrated the achievements of Inga Nodada, who earned recognition as the Most Improved Student in English and secured 4th Place in Mathematical Literacy with an impressive score of 78%.

Attendance remained a key indicator of commitment across the programme, and MP students excelled in this area. Zintle Dzidzi and Siphokazi Phunguzwa were honoured for achieving 100% Attendance, demonstrating exceptional dedication and consistency throughout the programme.

The graduation ceremony served as a reminder that success is about more than marks. It is about resilience, discipline, growth, and the courage to pursue new opportunities. The achievements of the MP students reflect these values and highlight the positive impact of the Communiversity programme in equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed for their future careers and further studies.

As we celebrate the accomplishments of Intake 2, we commend all graduates for their hard work and determination. Their achievements inspire the next generation of learners and demonstrate that with commitment and perseverance, success is within reach.

Congratulations to all the graduates of Intake 2. We wish you every success as you take the next step in your educational and professional journey. Intake 3 will commence their 14 week programme on 20 August 2026.
