This year MasiSports was privileged to be invited to attend the Laureus Sport for Good Incubation Hub Workshops for new NPOs. Eight other similar organisations were invited to participate. Feziwe Payi and Carolyn Hamilton-Smith attended on behalf of MasiSports. Carolyn reports back:
The workshops consisted of Governance, Finance, HR & Labour Law, Child Protection & Community Development and Monitoring & Evaluation. We learnt a lot about good governance, best practices, policies and procedures – all valuable tools for new NPOs. I hope that Laureus will continue with the workshops next year and others are able to benefit like we have. An added plus was meeting and networking with the others – we plan to keep in touch with each other next year.
We honoured to receive our Certificate of Attendance at an award ceremony on 30th November. Thank you Laureus for affording us this wonderful opportunity to learn and grow.
