The Board of MasiSports+ is delighted to announce the appointments of Althea Farmer and Marvin Williams as General Managers for Operations and Programmes and Empowerment, respectively. The Board views these appointments as a critical step in its long-term strategy to build the sustainability and impact of MasiSports+.
With their deep operational, governance and sports education expertise, Althea and Marvin have been instrumental in driving the growth and success of MasiSports+ to date. In their new roles, they will be responsible for further embedding the organisation’s holistic approach – combining sports, life skills, health, arts and cultural programmes – to empower and transform the lives of the children of Masiphumelele.
These appointments are a natural progression in MasiSports+’s journey to become a replicable, scalable model that can bring opportunity and hope to underserved communities across South Africa. The Board is confident that Althea and Marvin’s leadership will be essential in achieving this long-term goal.
