Ukhanyo Primary has been gifted ongoing support from Dance for All South Africa via Allison Hendriks, their manager.
Recently we had 25 learners from the intermediate phase being put through their paces. The appointed two choreographers were energising and skilful – the dancers learnt so much, and went home on a high. From next week we will have two sessions, for both the Foundation and intermediate phase. Luckily we have three educators who have been managing our Hip Hop dance programme for 18 months and will be able to help with the expanded classes.
The principals of Masi High are also keen to introduce hip hop dance in the high school in the second term – we can’t wait!
