MasiSports+

MasiSports+ is a community-driven initiative that transforms lives in Masiphumelele through the powerful combination of sport, life-skills training, and education. Founded on the belief that “Sport is a game changer”, MasiSports+ partners with local schools—Ukhanyo Primary and Masiphumelele High—to create a safe, inspiring, and structured environment for learners to thrive.

Since 2019, the organisation has helped build fully-fledged sports programmes at both schools, complete with branded kit, facilities, equipment, and trained coaches. This initiative has not only brought learners into inter-school leagues but has also improved academic performance, discipline, teamwork, and school enjoyment.

MasiSports+ exists to unlock the potential of every learner and guide them away from harmful influences like gangs and drugs—offering instead a sense of identity, belonging, and invincibility through structured sport and mentorship. By integrating sport, life-skills, and education, MasiSports+ is cultivating a new generation of confident, capable, and connected South Africans.
